The F4 series is the fastest way for young drivers to gain experience in international racing.

It is an affordable step between karting and F3. The F4, launched in 2014, was created so young race car drivers around the world have an opportunity to take the first step from karting to open wheel racing. Mac Clark currently sits in 6th place representing the Gonella Racing team with 37.5 points. The top three drivers after each race will earn prize money and the F4 U.S champion will also earn a scholarship to advance to the FR Americas. The top seven drivers in the overall championship will earn FIA super license points. Points stay active on an individualвЂ™s driving record for two years from the conviction date. Point values for offenses range from zero to ten, depending on the violation. The point value relates to the seriousness of the offense in posing a risk to traffic safety. The track is 2.4 miles long, a clockwise road course, with 15 turns. Indiana law assesses a point value for each conviction of moving violations.

Mac Clark is set to compete on June 24th to the 27th in the F4 U.S series on the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. James Hinchcliffe, one of Speed Groups founders, will also be mentoring and collaborating on Mac Clarks career.

Speed Group is set to help Mac become a professional racing driver by managing and developing partnerships for his career. Speed Group is a motorsports company whose goal is to use experience and knowledge to help its clients. In February 2021, Speed Group announced the signing of Mac as an official Speed Group driver. Mac was able to reach this goal again in his sophomore year, becoming the youngest ever F1600 Canada Champion, beating former Indењњar driver Paul TracyвЂ™s record from 1985. In 2019, at 15 years old he finished the season winning the rookie of the year honours in the F1600 Canada program. Mac was able to gain experience in car racing driving a GT car in multiple 8 hour endurance races, and tested a GT4 Porsche and experience in BMW and Mazda Miata Sportscars. Graduating top of his class from the top US school for racing, the Bertil Roos Formula Car Racing School, Mac progressed from karting to car racing in 2018. Mac is a 17 year old F4 race car driver who in 2020 competed in 22 races with 18 wins and 20 podium titles.
